3. Collection and Storage of Personal Data

6. Data Security

During your visit to the website, we use the widely used SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser.

7. Reach measurement / statistics (our own, cookieless analysis)

To analyse how our website is used, we operate our own reach measurement. It does not use any cookies or any third-party services (e.g. Google Analytics); the data collected remains on our server and is not passed on to third parties.

Data collected. For each page view we process: the page visited and the time, the time spent and the scroll depth on the page, the selected language, a rough device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) as well as the browser and operating-system family, the referring website (its domain only), any campaign parameters (e.g. from linked ads or trade-fair materials), downloaded PDF data sheets and the filters selected in the machine product finder. Your full IP address and your full browser identifier (user agent) are not stored.

No identification of individuals. In order to distinguish visits from one another, we generate a check value (hash) from your IP address and browser details that changes daily and is salted with a secret key. This value cannot be traced back to the IP address and changes every day; recognition over a longer period or identification of individual persons is therefore not possible. Known search-engine and analytics bots are not counted.

Purpose. We evaluate this data exclusively in aggregated form in order to understand which content and machines are in demand and to improve our offering and website as required.

Legal basis. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in the needs-based and economical design and optimisation of our website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the analysis takes place without cookies and without storing identifying data, no consent is required.

Storage period. The individual page-view records are automatically deleted after 180 days at the latest. Beyond that, we retain only anonymous, aggregated evaluations with no personal reference.

Right to object. You have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). You can also prevent the measurement of time spent and scroll depth by disabling JavaScript for this website in your browser.
